Every try to line your drawers with contact paper only to have to throw the whole tangled thing out? Make a pattern first with newspaper.  Place the newspaper pattern on top of the contact paper, outline with a penil, and cut it out, and lay it gently down in the drawer. Then unpeel the contact paper slowly, from one corner, and smooth it gently, but don't completely press it down. After you have it completely the way you want it, firmly smooth it out from the center.
